About
Who We Are
Belmont Associates is a privately-held commercial real estate investment company in business for over 100 years. Our principal activities are the acquisition, ownership and asset management of retail, office and multifamily properties.
We are a family business that has been continuously owned by a single family from the time of our founding through today. As the fourth generation, sole principal, Mathieu Rosinsky is actively involved in operations and asset management, helping to perpetuate the business into the future. Unlike a REIT or a limited-term investment fund having revolving door shareholders, our principal and sole decision maker is here for the long haul (which we measure in decades, not years). The shared family legacy inspires the team to maintain and uphold the very highest standards of professionalism, propriety and probity in everything that we do.
We have no outside investors, we are not investment advisors or brokers, and we do not manage any properties other than our own.
What We Own
Our properties are located in towns and cities throughout the United States. The vast majority of our properties are located in the state of Florida. High end retail, strip centers, big box retail and office make up the majority of our portfolio. As of 2014, our purchasing strategy has been focused on multi-family properties thereby adding diversification to our portfolio. When we buy properties, we do so intending to hold for the long term. Many of our properties have been in our portfolio for decades, which we have redeveloped over the years through numerous changes in tenants and building configurations. Our properties are made up of national, regional, and mom-and-pop operators.
How We Operate
All of our operations are conducted out of our headquarters located in West Palm Beach, Florida. We take pride in the high esteem in which our tenants hold us. In large measure, we attribute this to the principal’s active role in managing the portfolio. The flexibility in having no partners, investors, or anyone to answer to, has enabled creative, instant decision making that institutional investors cannot compete with. This has allowed us to forge close and long-lasting relationships with tenants, which we value as among our most important assets.
